Wedding Tips - For a successful Wedding day

#1 - Always have a Plan B.  The weather in Texas can be crazy.  In the morning it may be 30 degrees, you're all bundled up drinking warm coffee and by lunch time it is sunshine and 65 degrees.  We have had weeks on end where one day it is a warm 80 degrees and the next day a windy rainy 45 degrees. You will want to plan a weather back up for any outdoor wedding events you may be planning.  Consider this when selecting your venues and feel certain you can be happy with either scenario.  Ask your venue what options they have for rain and how soon do you need to let them know of the change.

#2 - Consider doing a First Look on your wedding day.  The first look is a private moment staged by the photographer before the ceremony when the bride and groom can be alone with each other.  The more photos you can do ahead of time, the fewer you'll have to do afterward.  I have had brides do Father Daughter first looks, First touch with their partner (no looking- just holding hands - with a vow or prayer involved), and First dance before the party starts.

#3 - Plan a Moment for the two of you to step back from all the festivities to take it all in.  I have created timelines where bride and grooms step away by themselves after the ceremony to just be a lone for a minute or two.  Your wedding day is going to by quicker than you can imagine, spend some time soaking it all in.  You can also plan a time where you just step back at the reception and watch everyone celebrating in you honor.

#4- Dont forget to eat.  Often times before the ceremony you are nervous and excited and you cant imagine eating.  After the ceremony you are taking pictures, saying hello to everyone, dancing, etc.  Dont forget to take time and replenish your body.  Eat the delicious food you had catered, drink a lot of water, and enjoy the cake!
