Responsibilities
Wedding Planners/Coordinators are a big help on your Wedding day. Depending on what level of service you hire your planner can help you find your vendors, read over contracts, find decor, help you set it up, create a timeline, and so much more. But there are a few things that only the bride/groom can do.
Here are a list of things only you can do:
Apply for your Marriage License - In the state of Texas you must have it 72 hours before your ceremony, but no more than 90 days before hand.
Compile your Guest List
Select your Wedding Party
Purchase Wedding Insurance (dont worry, I have my own, but if you would like your insurance to cover you on your Wedding day you will need to purchase it on your own)
Seat Assignments
Confer with your Officiant and Confirm the ceremony order
Sign all vendor contracts and pay
Make final food and bar selections
Select your Wedding Attire and Attend Fittings
Of course your planner/ coordinator can make sure your marriage license is signed correctly and handed off to the correct person to mail it, give advise on how to handle guest list and family drama, deliver day of vendor payments and tips, and much more.
